Dishes Cosmos

 As a stay-at-home mom, I spend a substantial amount of time considering the principles of entropy and chaos vs. cosmos.  I had a great professor of religion in college who first introduced me to these ideas, and being a mother and homemaker has given me plenty of hands-on experience.

Chaos
 This morning as I rolled up my sleeves to dig into the pile of dishes that had been accumulating for the past 24 hours, I had the most pleasant thought:  "Wow, I really like doing this!"

 Now, this does NOT mean I innately enjoy getting elbow deep in dirty dishes or the way my hands feel afterwards.  It means that I have finally come to really appreciate the results of my hard work.

 Clean dishes.  This is my cosmos.  God takes unorganized matter, chaos, and organizes it, creating cosmos.  I take a sink-full of dirty dishes and wash them creating order.  (Granted, the greater level of cosmos comes when I dry, organize, and put them away.)  :)

 And the truth is, it feels good.  This is me practicing to become a God someday!  It's the same pattern as I organize the shelves in my room, wash laundry, or bathe my babies.  I'm practicing a god-like attribute.  This is just one of the reasons I love being a mom

 As I pondered these thoughts while washing the dishes this morning, something occurred to me.  If entropy (the gradual, constant disintegration of order when things are left to themselves,) is a true, well-accepted scientific fact, (to which my home can testify,) how can anyone claim that the universe, that life and everything on this earth, just happened?  If the universe were left to itself, wouldn't it just devolve into greater and greater chaos?  Instead, people claim that somehow all the circumstances aligned just right to create the incredible earth upon which we live.

 It seems so obvious to me.  The only way that this could happen was by an intelligent being, God, organizing it all.  The entire earth and everything on it is proof of His existence.

    Exceptionally insightful. I love how you just disproved a scientific theory with science to prove that God exists. Bravo, my friend :)
